Rosé Uncorked: The Sainsbury’s rosé wine report


Challenge

Summer’s here, so crack open a bottle of rosé – or just read this report from Sainsbury’s instead. The awesome team at StoryPR approached us on behalf of Sainsbury’s to work in collaboration to create a beautiful visual report on the outlook of rosé. The aim was to position Sainsbury’s at the forefront of the beer, wine and spirit industry, as a brand that understands what their audience is drinking and to highlight Sainsbury’s varied range of top quality rosés.

StoryPR were able to provide a wealth of data from a range of sources so our first challenge was to narrow this down into four straight-forward narratives that were in line with the report. Our second challenge was the re-design of the report and incorporating the bitesize data visualisations.

Solution

We created four pieces of data-led content such as heat maps, sales spikes and shopping baskets full of purchases most often bought with rosé, like men’s shorts! These four elements were then shaped to fit within the editorial and visual rhythm of the report. We re-constructed the report entwining the micro visualisations within the report so that the words seamlessly related to the visuals, producing a clean and engaging flow. The outlook is rosé!
